Cugat was born in 1949 in Puentegenil, Cordoba, in Spain. When he was 18 he moved to Madrid and began his education at the Institute of Fine Arts.. Later, under the direction of Maestro Ramon Gonzalez, he continued studying art until he became one of the best skilled painters in Spain. Cugat is a neo-impressionist who creates his art by using loose brushstrokes and subdued coloration. A diversified painter, Cugat expresses the beauty of every subject, whether a still life, street scene or landscape. |
