Zavaleta Tadeo's Biography

Tadeo Zavaleta de la Bara was born in Lima, Peru in 1977. The son of one of Peru's greatest artists, it is not surprising that Tadeo followed in his father's footsteps. At the young age of seven, Tadeo pursued drawing and painting to try and "understand the ambiguities of human nature", a part of his father's philosophy that was embedded into Tadeo's young mind. His father also told him that the "human body presents both the greatest difficulties but at the same time the greatest achievements" and this stayed with him as he matured. Tadeo, at the age of 18, enrolled at the prestigious School of Fine Arts looking for answers. As the top student in his class, he was asked to participate in the Quimara '99 Exhibition in Mexico, where his art was acclaimed as one of the best in all of South America.

Tadeo's works are a reflection of a brilliant, gifted and exciting artist. His expressionistic paintings are a conglomeration of disparate verses that come together like poetry. Always searching, yet spontaneous, Tadeo's works are an explosion of color, movement and subject matter¿a story to be deciphered, a story to be told.
