Born in Ancash, Peru, in 1963, Gerald comes from a family of artists. His father was a painter while his mother is a renowned ceramist. He studied in the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Lima, under the direction of such well known masters as Milner Cajahuaringa and Miguel Angel Cuadros. He graduated from art school in 1988, awarded the second place prize in the school. Gerald's paintings are super-realistic. His florals, especially, are stunning and expressive, painted with exquisite technique and clarity. Gerald has held several exhibitions including two one-man shows.
