Chow's Biography

Born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1974, Tony Chow was drawn to the works of the great masters and started painting when he was just eleven years old. Chow moved to the United States in 1995 to attend the prestigious Art Center of Pasadena in California, where he graduated with distinguished honors in 2000. At the art Center, Chow excelled at figure drawing which is evident in the work he does today.

Discovered and mentored by master impressionist Aldo Luongo, Tony Chow quickly gained recognition as one of the finest up and coming contemporary artist in America. Every work displays Chow's unique and alluring atmospheric quality that has become this artist's signature style. His passionate approach, technical skills and expressive brushwork culminate in exquisite masterpieces. Each piece appears effortless at first, but upon closer examination, there is introspection, a depth and strict attention to form and balance which is a reflection of the influences of art's greatest masters, Reubens, Caravaggio and Rembrandt.
