Olga Roubin was born in Russia in 1955. In 1977 Olga successfully accomplished her studies in a credible Art Academy under the instruction of Professor Vasiliyev. Between the years 1971 and 1974 she studied architecture and was engaged in restoration of Russian works of Art from the Middle Ages. Shortly after, she began to concentrate on her studies in painting, sketching and design in the Art Academy in Leningrad. She took part in the illustration of the Ukranian Encyclopedia, and in children's monthly publications. Following her successful sketch exhibition in 1981, she worked in "Vaselka" publishing house in Kiev as an illustrator of children's books. During the next en years 30 books were published with Olga's illustrations. These books went on international exhibitions in Moscow, Warsaw and Kiev. In 1991 Olga immigrated to Israel and she continues painting in watercolors and oil. Her favorite themes are flowers, still-lifes and landscapes. SELECTED EXHIBITIONS: 1978 |
