Evelyn Metzger's Biography

Born in New York in 1911, Evelyn Borchard Metzger was an artist who painted a variety of subjects in various styles, including; Realism, Impressionism, Fauvism and Cubism. She painted many urban genre scenes of New York City.

In 1950, she had a major exhibition in Argentina and then exhibited in France, Mexico and the United States. Her work is in the Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C.
