Perez's Biography

Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1946, Perez is a fourth generation of artists. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Santiago, he worked in his father's studio, the Ibero-Chilean painter Eduardo Perez, where he acquired most of his artistic knowledge and skill. Perez was also undoubtedly inspired by his artistic ancestors who restored murals and frescoes in 18th century Spain. He continued this tradition, creating large murals and stained glass windows that decorate several synagogues in Tel Aviv.

Perez' work is infused with a sophisticated color sensibility and a romantic expressionistic approach, which enables him to express his passion and joie de vivre. His exciting brushwork and vividness of colors breathe life and vitality into his images. His extraordinary landscapes reflect a peaceful and harmonious ambiance that transports the viewer to a serene and contemplative visual experience.

Perez uses his resourceful skills to create oils, acrylics, drawings, engraving and murals. In addition, his body of work includes limited editions, stained glass and sculpture in stone.

In 1964, Perez moved to Israel, where he worked until 2003. Currently, he resides in Chile where he continues to work. His art is included in private and public collections, and has been exhibited all over the world.
