Roshan's Biography

Roshan was born in 1958 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From 1976 to 1980 he studied art and design at the University La Plata in Buenos Aires. He then continued his artistic education of graphic art and visual communication at the Cologne School of Art in Cologne, Germany, which he attended from 1981 until 1987.

Abstract Expression can best describe Roshan's body of work in that his paintings are spontaneous and, for the most part, non-objective. In most of his paintings there appears to be no subject, but there's a burst of energy in the form of shapes and colors resulting in paintings that reveal the artist's inner most emotions. Roshan combines rich tones and a depth and texture to his images that "provoke deep contemplation." Each painting is completely different from his others; each possesses its own spirit and force.

Presently, Roshan says he finds his inspiration from European influences and combines that with the warm and colorful "tropicana of Costa Rica."
