The artist Barceló was born in Gerona, Spain in 1962. At the age of 16, he moved with his family to Barcelona, where he embarked on his artistic studies at the Fine Arts School. Barceló's art is quite unique and original. His large canvasses beckon the observer to enter his world. He concentrates his efforts on stylized versions of deep, mysterious forests, with paths and dappled sunlight peaking through. His palette varies from warm hues to cool, and the density and open spaces create an interesting tension, achieving an abstract dimension. Barceló has shown his work in main Spanish cities such as Valencia, Barcelona, Seville, Madrid, and also throughout Europe. |
