Manuel Sarquella was born in Valencia, Spain in 1958. He studied art at the Bellas Artes in Barcelona, specializing in painting. Sarquella focuses on seascapes, usually presenting to us hard working laborers preparing their fishing boats in the early morning, or after a long day at sea cleaning their catch. Capturing the unusual light of dawn and dusk, combined with the rich earth tones and painterly brushwork, Sarquella's work is visually appealing. Sarquella has had numerous exhibitions in his native Spain and internationally. |
