Silvestro Tavoletta was born in Volla (Naples), Italy in 1949. He studied at the Artistic Liceo and the Painting School at the Academy of Fine Arts. Upon completion of his studies, Tavoletta taught design and Art History in various State Institutes. Tavoletta's pervasive theme is unforgettable and romantic Venetian scenes. His expressive brushwork and compositions capture the essence of the majestic canals, bridges and piazzas that are unique to spectacular Venice. Since 1980, Tavoletta has held numerous personal exhibits in Italy and abroad, meeting with great responses from critic and the public. |
