Diane Monett's Biography

Artist Diane Monett is an honors graduate of New York University. She studied in Latin America and before fully pursuing her artistic career, traveled throughout Asia, Europe and the United States. It was on these travels that Monett had the opportunity to view many of the vast landscapes that she now incorporates into her artwork. Inspired by the art of the French Impressionists, the opulence and elegance of the color used in Monett's work have become her signature.

In her art, Monett encourages the viewer to seek a pastoral respite from the modern world. Her subject pointedly chosen and composed to appear simple, she successfully draws the viewer's attention to the supreme beauty and elegance of nature.

Monett's work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
