Louis Ulman graduated from Florida State University in 1966, earning an M.A. and an M.F.A. ftom the University of Miami in 1969 and 1970, respectively. Ulman is a realistic artist who paints and draws a variety of subjects including the human figure, landscape, still life and animals. His work reflects his respect for tradition, knowledge of art history, and a developed artistic talent. He has steadfastly followed his personal visions without being swayed by art trends and fads. Louis Ulman has taught at the Miami Art Center, Miami-Dade Community College, FIU, and he is currently teaching at the University of Miami. In addition, Ulman's paintings have been added to art collections at the Lowe Art Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art Center in Coral Gables, and the Jockey Club in Miami.
