Marat Margaryan was born in Giumri, Armenia, in 1969. He attended the Panos Terlemzjan Arts College in Yerevan, from 1984 until 1988. From 1988 until 1994, he studied at the Yerevan Fine Arts Institute. Marat has been a member of the "union of Arts" of Armenia since 1995. Marat's paintings are romantic expressions, filled with idealized forms, shimmering colors, and fabled subject matter. Marat is telling a story of romanticized figures, painted with an unusually smoothe stroke of the brush, resulting in canvasses that seem illuminated from within.
