Antonio Santos was born in Gerona, Spain, in 1945. Santos is an artist with considerable mastery of technique and a style reminiscent of the great impressionist Cezanne. He is driven to interpret what is real and this is a continuous process of discovery for him. Santos subjects are primarily seascapes and boat scenes. This gifted artist depicts his subject with great ability and fine perception. His works are rich in texture and light, his colors are luminous, his brushstrokes are broad.
