Lucio Criscuolo was born in Naples in 1944. He began his studies in art at the Art Institute in Naples, where he is still currently living and working. During his time at the Institute, he met and studied many famous artists, their lives, styles and inspirations. With much challenge and hard work, he set out on a journey to refine his art to the point where his paintings were not merely imitations of great masters, but of a style and presence all their own. Though he has not come to the end of the road as far as perfection of style goes, he has had brilliant results. In 1967, Criscuolo won a gold medal at the Artes Classica , one of the first of numerous prizes and international recognition. |
