Eivar Moya was born in Valledupar, Cesar, Columbia, in 1970. From 1987 until 1991 he attended the Maestro en Artes Plasticas, the Escuela de Bellas Artes, and the Universidad del Atlantico in Barranquilla. A technique reminiscent of the Renaissance Masters, Moya's works are powerful and dynamic interpretations of the human form. His innate drawing skill , which was honed in art school, resulted in an understanding and expression of the human anatomy that is rarely found today. His line is vibrant, his painting is passionate. This combination results in images that exhibit an explicit understanding of human anatomy and a "respect for art which has been his company since his school years." Moya's subjects vary from "simple" studies of the human form, to exciting mystical themes, to figures juxtaposed with classical masterpieces. This very talented artist has exhibited in many galleries throughout Latin America and the United States.
