Artist Michel was born in 1948 in Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain. He attended the Bellas Art School in San Jorge, where he obtained many awards and was distinguished by his talent and creativity. Michel's first one-man show was in 1974 at the La Sala Sant Jordi, in Barcelona. During this period, his paintings were also exhibited in different galleries and museums throughout Barcelona. In 1979, Michel moved to Paris where he lived and worked in Monmartre for five years. In 1987, he was awarded the "Victoriano Seix" from the Real Circulo Artistico de Barcelona, as well as first prize at the Montserrat de la Excma. Recently, Michel has joined other Catalonian artists in a collective exhibition at the Macarron Gallery in the city of Madrid. The beauty of his technique and the well-defined color in Michel's still-lifes reflect his great experience as an artist. When viewing his work, one is not only struck by the realism achieved in his painting, but also the character, the texture, and the intensity of the subject. |
