Cristobal Jordaens was born in Tarragona, Spain, in 1948. As a young man he moved to Valencia, where he studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Carlos. His paintings, predominently still lifes, display Jordaens mastery of color, brushstrokes, and composition. The result is an expressive, yet classical, subtle, yet dramatic interpretation of his subject. Jordaens has had numerous exhibitions of his work throughout Spain, especially along the Mediterranean coast in such cities as Alicente, Almeria, Tarragona, and Barcelona. |
